Queen Of Peace parish has been established in 1939 with Father Eugene Nolan as a first pastor. In its 75year history parish had  six pastors with Fr James Tighe being the sixth one. School was a part of the parish from September 1953 till June 2006. With ever changing community, parish went from 700 parishioners registered in its first census, trough 1720 parishioners in 1970 to about 400 parishioners today.

Father Eugene Nolan appointed Pastor on June 20th 1949. In July same year title Queen of Peace has been approved. Property purchased in August 1939 included private home which is now a rectory.

First Mass celebrated September 10th 1939 at Regency Park Apartments – 99 persons in attendance.

In July Joseph Mathieu architect hired to draw up plans for new church. August 27th ground broken.

First Mass in new church – Midnight Mass December 24, 1940.

On July 20th 1941 Church was dedicated at 11 am Mass by Bishop Molloy.

In 1943 first census taken – 700 families.

In September 29th 1952 bulldozer began clearing ground for school.

 September 14th 1953 – school opened in Church.

in 1957 Parish families registered reach 1,053. Gold and silver items are collected from parishioners for new monstrance; donated in December.

In 1958 first graduation held on June 22nd at 3:30 pm in the auditorium. Graduates mass held on Saturday, June 21st at 9 am.

In 1968 Fr. Nolan retires on June 21st.  Special mass on Sunday evening at 5 p.m. on May 11th. Msgr. Henry Cosgrove appointed pastor. 

1970 Parish registration noted at 1,720 with 1,128 using envelope contribution system.

1971 Msgr. Cosgrove announces his appointment to Diocesan Marriage Tribunal.

Fr. John Reilly appointed Pastor. Installation took place on Friday, June 18th 1971 at 7:30 pm.

Fr. Eugene Nolan founder and first pastor dies on August 25, 1977.

1979 registered parishioners 849; with 614 using envelopes.

In December 1983, Father Reilly announces his retirement after 12 years as Pastor of Queen of Peace. 
Monsignor Celsus Collini named Pastor. January 27 1983, Msgr. Collini installed as pastor by Bishop Mugavero at 5:30 p.m. mass. 

1985 Church vandalized in September - Chalices taken – Blessed Sacrament desecrated.

1988 Air conditioning system installed.

1994 Msgr. Collini retired. In September, Rev. Ralph Caputo appointed Pastor.

2001 January - Father James Tighe appointed Pastor.

2006 June – Queen of Peace School closed.
